Nestle India has retained Publicised Group-owned media company Zenith India as its agency of record following a multi-agency pitch that included rivals Mindshare, Dentsu and IPG Mediabrands, according to people in the know. The local unit of Swiss FMCG major Nestle is one of India's largest advertisers, with a media account pegged at over Rs.700 crore. It posted a revenue of over Rs.15,000 crore in FY22.

In April, Nestle had called for a pitch from other agencies, and the two-month process ended with the packaged goods company deciding to retain Zenith

Jai Lala, CEO of Zenith India, confirmed the development. "We are delighted that Nestle has once again chosen us as their media partner and it's a clear endorsement of our strong ROI approach and ability to deliver marketing excellence and innovation," he said.

Zenith India has been handling the account for the last 17 years. In April, Nestle had called for a pitch from other agencies, and the two-month process ended with the packaged goods company deciding to retain Zenith. The mandate includes the full range of duties, including offline media, online media, commerce, search engine optimisation (SEO) and analytics. "The retention is testament to the rock solid working relationship we share with Nestle. We have a deep and inherent understanding of Nestle's business needs and the strategic direction of its brands," Lala said.
